The increase of Nitrogen getting into the runoffs and then dropping into the ocean. Then getting to the seaweed and plankton, increasing the oxygen intake and making it harder on the plants to produce the amount of oxygen being taken. These problems have taken a toll on the environment and subtracting on Hawaii's natural beauty. Non-biodegradable trash that we leave on the floor gets into the environment and can't be broken down. The trash that is not being broken down will leave Hawaii's environment in turmoil. Trash that cannot be broken down will get to animals that will eat it. Since trash that are not biodegradable may contain toxic material animals can't digest the trash and then the animal will die. Pollution made by us is affecting Hawaii not for the better but for the worse.
Hawaii being a place where it's surrounded by water, most of it's diverse species come from the ocean. Pollution getting into the ocean will affect most of Hawaii's diverse and indigenous species. Species like Hawaii's green sea turtle, a species that are endangered and may go extinct. Hawaii's green sea turtle like to eat seaweed. But with nitrogen runoffs that are getting into their food are toxic to them. The nitrogen that is used inside the seaweed will get into the turtle and start to make tumors that are on their skin. These tumors are a disease called fibropapillmatosis. This disease is very fatal to the turtle, killing them at a fast rate. Rates that the turtle population cannot handle. Without proper help from us then the turtle population will be depleted, causing a food chain chaos that will in turn hurt us. Hawaii's diverse species need to be helped and diseases aren't helping the species.

Where the seaweed absorbs the nitrogen then the green sea turtle comes along and eats the nitrogen enriched seaweed which then starts the deformities. This disease is cause of the overpopulation. Overpopulation can be fixed by telling the truth about Hawaii and giving Hawaii a needed break.
