Dear Bus Administration,
My family and I are very thankful that you provide such transportation around this Island for more than forty years. Providing such service to most of this Island and the affordable bus fares.
However, I have been having problems with the seating within your bus stops. For the past year I have been receiving a problems with the seating at the bus stops. From the past week I’ve had to sit somewhere else for more than ten times and out of those I have missed the bus about four times. This had become very frustrating because I would have to catch the bus later than what I wanted to. With more bus stop seats then sitting farther away from the bus stop would help commuters not miss the bus.
I understand that having more seating at bus stops means more money to make them, about approximately $7,000 and for bus stops having electricity would cost around $60,000 or more according to a Washington bus article. But without sufficient amount of seating then bus commuters would have to stand or sit somewhere else for about 20 minutes maybe even longer. This wouldn’t be acceptable customer service. Although, having more seating you would have to take into account that the homeless would use the new bus stops as new and improved homes. Keep in mind this would serve a great deal of good in the community.
Being as though I am one person other people may have the same idea as I do, but aren't able to project themselves. Bus stops are never perfect or even people for that matter. With the help of having more bus stop seats other commuters and I would benefit greatly. I did not forget that this would be a great inconvenience because then the bus stop would be closed for construction and would may cause bus commuters to miss the bus once again.
With all this in mind, the bus and it’s services are very reliable. In fact the services are amazing but if possible the adding of bus stop seats would really be encouraged.
Sincerely,
Tyler Dureg
