In the story “Macbeth”, there is a man whose actions will lead him to have sleeplessness, misery, loss of love, and haunting deeds. “Macbeth” by William Shakespeare displays that people are all born good but, almost always power will taint the person and will later destroy them.
In the book “Macbeth” the main character Macbeth is a righteous character whom is noble and will do the right thing. But, later on he does deeds that completely throws his original ideals out the door. “That’s enough of that! I’ll dare do anything that’s worthy of a man. Who dared do more isn't human.” Macbeth tries to resist his wife’s scheming and goes the righteous way but, he does consider doing it. “I’m settled on it then. All my faculties shall be devoted to this terrible deed.” In the end of Macbeth trying to resist, he ends up going through with the idea of killing King Duncan. The path for Macbeth’s kinsmanship has now come to fruition, he then goes to become the new king because he is the most likely person to become king. The king’s sons weren’t there because they were in fear of being killed and left the country leaving no one to take the throne except for Macbeth. The premonition the three weird sisters gave him to the scheming of killing King duncan all came together, all for the personal gain of Macbeth. Now that Macbeth has the taste of power, what shall he do now?
Macbeth, a noble knight now a vile king and his best friend Banquo is suspicious on what he may have done to become king. Banquo realizes this because he dove into what the weird sisters had said to him and Macbeth. “Everything, just as the weird sisters promised: and I’m afraid you played a vile game to get it.” Banquo then discovers that Macbeth will die whilst not passing the throne but, Banquo will bore a line of kings. The jealousy that Banquo had suspected was soon proven after his own death. “Treachery!Run,Fleance, run! Run!run! You can revenge me. Oh villains…” Although Banquo was the best friend of Macbeth, the dirty king was afraid, paranoid, and overall not willing to let Banquo’s sons to inherit his throne. The threat of losing the throne got to Macbeth even though his reign as king was not even coming to ending. He has become afraid and protective over his kingship. The absolute power he has been given is used to taint his already tainted position.
In the end Macbeth is just a power hungry person, that used to be righteous and all good. But, the man was overcome by the power that all people try to obtain and it was ultimately his downfall. Our world creates situations like this, power is an evil that most cannot resist but, the righteous mean will hold the best outcomes.
