- The murder of Macduff’s family shows that Macbeth has changed from a noble soldier to a crazy and paranoid king.
- The purpose to show the scene between Lady Macduff and her son was to show how even a soldier trying to avenge his country can still receive the hatefulness of those close to him.
- Malcolm tests Maduff by questioning Macduff about how kings fall and what he would do if Macbeth falls from the throne.
- When Macduff receives the news of the loss of his wife he felt as though he wanted to just cry but, he knows that avenging them will release him of his sorrow.
- Lady Macbeth’s mental condition came as a surprise because she was still in good health throughout
- I think that the weird sisters and Macbeth’s paranoia was ultimately responsible for his death. The weird sisters because they mislead him to think that any man that was born from a woman would die before hurting him. But, when Macduff told him that he was taken out of his dead mother and in turn it meant that he was not born from a woman.
- I think that Shakespeare’s opinion on Macbeth is that he wanted the worst fate for the person that had done bad for his own gains. Also, I think that Shakespeare’s opinion on Lady Macbeth is that the insanity and power don’t mix well together because in the end she died without being able to do something.
- Lady Macbeth’s death was completely ignored by her husband, Macbeth. He had basically didn’t think of her death as anything important. It was like dust in the wind.
- Macduff Reveals to Macbeth that he is doomed because a sort of “prophecy” that Macbeth heard from the weird sisters, whom have given him future insight on his ascension to kingship. In the weird sisters telling, they have said that no man born from a woman will be able to kill him and knowing that any human being comes from a female, he would easily think that he will live a full life and not be bothered. But, then Macduff comes along to overthrow him and Macbeth becomes cocky because he thinks he knows that Macduff is born from a woman but, little did he know that Macduff was born after his mother had already died.
- Malcolm's ascension to the throne was very significant because it was the sort of cleansing of his homeland. He sees Macbeth as a disease and he wants to rid his homeland of him.
